    Education Equality Scholarship

    At The Parian Law Firm, LLC, we understand how difficult it can be to afford attending university, and we believe that all students should have equal access to their higher education. Our firm offers he Education Equality Scholarship each year to one dedicated student furthering their education and seeking financial stability. Below are our past scholarship winners:

    2020 Winner: Allee Mainord

    Biography: My name is Allee Mainord and I am from a small town in Texas where I live with my parents and two dogs. I was very involved in NHS and HOSA during my high school years and have continued to seek out organizations to be involved with in college. I attend Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia where I am pursuing a pre-med degree in Biochemistry with a double minor in Math and Spanish. I was also recruited to play golf for the Berry Women’s golf team and qualified to play in our conference championship this year. I was invited to join the school of Honors and also the Lambda Sigma service society as a freshman. I have fallen in love with Georgia and Berry College and look forward to my next three years there. This year I hope to become more involved with the Berry Student Volunteer Services and more student organizations. I am very excited to start my Sophomore year as Covid restrictions have been lifted and we should be able to have a complete golf season and a more “normal” school year. My goal is to one day play at the National DIII championship and to go on to medical school where I hope to become a Neurosurgeon.

    Allee’s Reaction: “I was so excited to receive the news that I won! My parents both work so hard to make sure I am able to attend Berry College and I am so thankful that I can help with scholarships such as the Parian Law LLC’s 2020 Education Equality Scholarship. Thank you for selecting me and helping to lessen that gap of financial need and the cost of school. Scholarships such as this are a huge step in making education equality more of a reality for all. I am eternally grateful for the help and support you have provided! Thank you for helping me on my journey to a future medical career.”

    2019 Winner: Lydia Rice

    Biography: Lydia is currently a freshman at Georgia State University and is pursuing a degree in astrophysics. She has lived in Georgia all of her life but was adopted from China. She’s very thankful for her amazing family who supports all of her creative ideas. Lydia is deeply fascinated by physics and outer space, but she also cares about current events and how it impacts the community around her. Lydia is deeply passionate about buy klonopin c.o.d, finding creative ways to make college, and all education more accessible for everyone.

    Lydia’s Reaction: “Amazed. I was so amazed and happy to have won this scholarship. With second-semester bills coming up, this is an indescribable gift! More than that though, this scholarship honestly prompted me to take time and think about the impact I want to have on the education system. I hope to continue working on the ideas that are inspired by The Parian Law Firm, thank you so much!”


    2018 Winner: Haley Cook

    Biography: Haley Cook is a freshman at the University of West Georgia where she plans to pursue a degree in nursing. She is a 2018 distinguished honor graduate from Bremen High School where she finished in the top ten percent of her graduating class. While attending Bremen High School, Haley was a captain on the varsity softball team, a member of the varsity soccer team and was active in several high school clubs including Fellowship of Christian Athletes and National Honor Society.

    Ms. Cook’s passion for serving her community is unmatched as evidenced by over 350 community service hours documented throughout her high school career. Recognizing the need and having a passion for children, Ms. Cook co-founded Project Cuddle Up three years ago. Project Cuddle Up collects new and gently used stuffed animals, children’s books, coloring books, and crayons in support of hospitalized, traumatized, and sick children in the West Georgia area. Project Cuddle Up has made donations to Tanner Health System’s Pediatric Unit, the Georgia State Patrol, Community Christian Council, local law enforcement agencies, local ambulance service and many others. Last year, Project Cuddle Up also prepared gift bags for Bert’s Big Adventures annual trip to Disney for special needs children.

    Upon graduation with her degree in nursing, Ms. Cook plans to work in the neonatal intensive care unit of a major healthcare system.

    Haley’s Reaction: “I am extremely honored and thankful to have been selected as The Parian Law Firm’s 2018 Educational Equality Scholarship recipient. This award will assist with college tuition and will allow me to focus on pursuing my nursing degree. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Parian Law Firm for recognizing the need and providing support as I continue on my college educational journey.”
