    2015 Lincoln MKC Vehicles Recalled

Posted on - Saturday, January 24, 2015 under Dangerous Drugs & Products

General Motors has been in the news lately.  GM was forced to recall thousands of vehicles with faulty ignition switches.  The problem with the GM ignition switches was they would cause a vehicle to unexpectedly stall while travelling down the road.  The faulty GM ignition switches caused injuries, and even death, to drivers and passengers in General Motors vehicles.

Now comes news out of Ford Motor Company that it is recalling the 2015 Lincoln MKC due to similar ignition issues.  The recall affects 2015 Lincoln MKC vehicles manufactured between August 20, 2013 and September 9, 2014.  You can find your vehicle’s manufacture date by looking on the inside of the driver’s side door.

The recalled 2015 Lincoln MKC cars all have push-to-start buttons at the bottom of the transmission shift.  Ford has determined that a push of that button while going down a road or interstate could cause the vehicle to stall.  Unexpected stalls increase the risk of a crash and injuries to the passengers and driver.

The recall will begin on February 23, 2015 with Ford notifying all owners of the recalled 2015 Lincoln MKC vehicles.  The recall number assigned by Ford is 14S29.  Ford Motor Company can be reached at 1-866-436-7332.
