    Chain Reaction Crash on I-75 in Florida Caused By Trucker

    One Killed in Charlotte County, Florida When Tractor Trailer Truck Slams Into Stopped Vehicles

    Early this afternoon, nine vehicles were involved in a Chain Reaction Crash on Interstate 75 North in Charlotte County, Florida caused by a truck driver’s failure to see stopped vehicles before him.  According to the Florida State Patrol, the 48 year old truck driver struck the rear of a Chevrolet Equinox that was stopped in traffic on the interstate.  The impact of the semi truck and the Equinox caused a chain reaction that involved seven other vehicles on the interstate.  The impact was tragic as the driver of the Chevy Equinox is listed in critical condition while his wife was pronounced dead at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida.
