    Congratulations to Haley Cook for winning the 2018 Education Equality Scholarship!

    About Hayley
    Haley Cook is a freshman at the University of West Georgia where she plans to pursue a degree in nursing. She is a 2018 distinguished honor graduate from Bremen High School where she finished in the top ten percent of her graduating class. While attending Bremen High School, Haley was a captain on the varsity softball team, a member of the varsity soccer team and was active in several high school clubs including Fellowship of Christian Athletes and National Honor Society.  

    Ms. Cook’s passion for serving her community is unmatched as evidenced by over 350 community service hours documented throughout her high school career. Recognizing the need and having a passion for children, Ms. Cook co-founded Project Cuddle Up three years ago. Project Cuddle Up collects new and gently used stuffed animals, children’s books, coloring books, and crayons in support of hospitalized, traumatized, and sick children in the West Georgia area. Project Cuddle Up has made donations to Tanner Health System’s Pediatric Unit, the Georgia State Patrol, Community Christian Council, local law enforcement agencies, local ambulance service and many others.  Last year, Project Cuddle Up also prepared gift bags for Bert’s Big Adventures annual trip to Disney for special needs children.

    Upon graduation with her degree in nursing, Ms. Cook plans to work in the neonatal intensive care unit of a major healthcare system.
